Default 4 seasons campers site

http://4scf.com

/for all you hardy people who want to camp in winter

I've done a few times in past, when we use to snowmobile. With a group of
12 people, tons of fun and food and wine skins and (liquid antifreeze)

running the indian reserve at 10:00 pm. and If they caught you or your machine broke down(and could not get it out) it was theirs. We had to plan different routes everytime we went out. so we could avoid them having a pattern of our travels. Then back to camp, camp fire and antifreeze to warm us up. Then bed and sleep late so we could run again the next night.

Yes gail was 7 months pregnant with our son. he's 33 this yr.
That's a while ago. we have had a few other times since then.
did this for 3 yrs. When Chris was born we left him in Calgary for the one night. and we only did the one run.

had good times and trailers were winterized and heaters going steady.

we carried water and used plastic stuff so we did not have to wash much.
That stuff we did back at home.

I think I could see myself extending the camping season into October or November depending on snow. After that I wouldn't want to be pulling the trailer on our roads when it is snowing or black ice.

You are a brave man to be camping in January!

Default we had a place out in Bragg creek.

where we could leave our trailers out there for the winter.
just went out Friday nights and fire it up.

We had our own outhouse, wood and everything we needed for the winters right on site. Come summer( Before may) we had to have everything gone. Even the port-a-potty.(that was not a fun item to move, but it was worth the enjoyment of snowmobiling)

The womem had a fur seat on toilet.
After a few times out there you got used to it.
BUT The first couple times with it dark, half corked(or more), that first touch down was there's a bear in there.

We had a lot of chuckles over that, when the new people came out and we never told them about the seat. Some screaming was heard

We were only 1/2 mile from reserve.
We did not have to pull in the snow or bad roads.

After that, giving up snow mobiles, we when out only when we had nice roads and close to calgary. lots of campgrounds were still open just no services at all. Boondocking.
