Default Anyone been to Eureka Springs AR

DW and I are thinking about Eureka Springs AR for a week the last of October. Anybody been this time of the year? Where did you stay? What did you do besides the Passion Play? We expect to see some great fall color -- the main reason we thought about going.

My neighbor has been a couple of times and said the town is a nice place to visit, restaurants etc. We were going to go up there a couple of weeks ago but it's just too hot. We have decided to head up there towards the end of October also to try and catch the fall colors and some cooler weather. I believe there is a state park very close.

Default Great Place 2 Go!

There is a town right outside of Eureeka Springs, AR. It is the town of Beaver, AR, which is actually the start of Table Rock Lake which is mostly in MO. The stretch of the White River that runs between Beaver Lake and Table Rock Lake is great. Water quality is good, warm in the summer. Great scenery, spectacular bluffs. Very secluded, and complemented by a beautiful suspension bridge that runs along the river. My family and I camped there a couple of weeks ago and already have a spot reserved for Labor Day weekend. Highly recommended. Here is the link to the town website:

There is something wrong with the link. I've looked at this place but can't find anything about rates and specifics on sites. Are they 30amp--is there sewer or a dump staion etc. Any help would be appreciated. We have about decided on Withrow Springs State park. Looks good but we are going in kind of blind.

The website does not offer reservations, maps, and availability. You just have to call them. Their number is on the contact us page under "park". They have both 50 and 30 amp hookup with water at site. There is a sewage dump close to the campground entrance. Just give them a call, the couple that runs the place are very nice and helpful. Make sure and take a pole, the fishing is great there.
